Cait Clarke, B.S., J.D. S.J.D., is a leadership and management consultant specializing in public defense and legal aid organizations. She is the former director of the National Defender Leadership Institute. Cait’s experience has included Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Program in Criminal Justice, Policy and Management where she managed the federally-funded “Executive Session on Public Defense” (ESPD). Prior to earning her doctorate at Harvard Law School, Cait was an associate professor at the Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, an E. Barrett Prettyman Fellow and clinical instructor in the Criminal Justice Clinic at the Georgetown University Law Center, and law clerk to the Honorable John A. Terry of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
